Chakana Cruz Living Campus
An Integrated Environment Within a Working Coffee Landscape
THE LAND
The campus is located within a 60-hectare coffee landscape in a fertile river valley in Ecuador.
A focused 4.55-hectare area is being developed to support programs, visitors, and community life.
ECO WELLNESS SANCTUARY
Approximately 10% of the Foundation’s land is designated as a separate area supporting long-term sustainability. Within this area, five exclusive eco-village clusters are planned for phased development, composed of discreet, low-impact, elevated units integrated into the coffee landscape. The clusters are arranged around a central pavilion for wellness, learning, and gatherings, balancing connection with privacy. Each unit is self-contained, powered by solar energy, and supported by high-speed Starlink connectivity.
Due to the remote location, improved access is essential. A landing strip is planned to reduce travel time from Quito and Guayaquil to approximately 45 minutes, compared to up to 8 hours by road, while supporting medical evacuation.
The project is in advanced planning, with phased development from 2026 onward and opportunities for participation as it evolves. The scale is intentionally limited to preserve the Foundation’s commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term sustainability, ensuring that development remains balanced with the protection of the land, the coffee landscape, and the surrounding ecosystem.
