Master Plan
The Chakana Cruz Foundation master plan is designed to develop an integrated active living campus within the existing coffee landscape, aligning land use with the Foundation’s long-term objectives.
The campus combines multi-generational living, including youth hostels, research stays, and active senior living, supported by wellness, education, and community participation programs. Activities are integrated throughout the land, allowing residents and participants to engage directly with the environment, agriculture, and shared learning spaces.
The model is structured as a self-sustaining system. Coffee production provides ongoing maintenance and operational continuity, while a limited portion of the land is allocated as a separate enabling zone to support the Foundation’s long-term capital requirements.
The objective is to create a living environment where global participants — including students, researchers, and active residents — can engage, contribute, and learn within a structured, community-based system.
All development is phased, disciplined, and aligned with the Foundation’s commitment to environmental stewardship, long-term resilience, and responsible growth.
